Casa Tilo Winter Coliving Season

From January to March, you're invited to Casa Tilo for a season of co-living in the forest near Barcelona.

You can continue your normal online work while you're here, and each day there'll also be at least a couple hours of shared practice on a theme. Weekly themes include: music, circling, movement, solopreneurship, AI...

Inspiring peers, shared meals, walks in nature, working out together, partying in the salon, skill-shares, jams, coaching sessions, and the best brunch of your life. LFG already?!

What you are joining

The vibes are usually calm and peaceful. Occasionally a raging party. Tender, open-hearted, deep, brainy. Laptop work interrupted by a ten minute dance break.

As hosts, we bring enough facilitated structure so all practical matters are handled efficiently. Every morning there's a moment for residents to connect with each other and propose shared activities: coworking, coaching, skillshares, relating practices, workouts, jams, dance, hikes etc.

And then shared dinners pull us together at the end of each day. We organise groceries & menus, everyone shares cooking duty. Food is awesome, all is taken care of.

Generally we gather super lovely weird genius people.

We curate the group by emphasising specific themes for each week. There’s a lot of freedom to create the experience you want to have. None of the activities are compulsory. Come on the dates that suit you. If you want to hang out with other musicians, come at the start of January. If you want to be super productive on your small business and learn about the latest AI tools for personal productivity, come in March.

Any questions, send Rich a DM on Telegram or Twitter or email hello@eltilo.casa. Don’t be a stranger.

Jan 4-10: Music Week 1 with Rich

Ahhh, the first week of January. The time outside of time. We’ll forget what day of the week it is. You can expect to find a house full of musicians at Casa Tilo. Work on your songs, jam, skillshare, and see what collaborations naturally emerge. If you have online work to do, that will be fine too. But we’ll probably be doing weird experiments with subsonic frequencies and that sort of thing.

Jan 11-17: Agapic Chants with Nathan

Relaxed self-directed musical co-living time continues. But for this week, we also have Nathan Vanderpool offering a full program of musical activities. Do you know Nathan? He is the man! He’s a master of the singer-songwriter form, but there’s much more to it than that. He developed “Agapic Chants”: a participatory musical ritual that delivers therapeutic and mystical insight through song. Check out his website or listen to this podcast for more info.

The week will feature group chanting, open mic, ritual, guided improv, and 1:1 work. No musical experience is needed. Nathan’s programme is offered on dāna: a voluntary donation to him, separate from your accommodation and food.

Jan 29 to Feb 11: Circling & relational practices with Marei

Circling is a kind of... conversational meditation? It’s about increasing your capacity for what you can notice, noticing what is happening in you, and between us, in this present moment. It’s incredible what emerges when we step outside the scripts of typical conversation, and get intimate with what’s happening right now. It can be profound, it can be healing, it can be chaotic, it can be tedious.

For these two weeks of practice, Mareike Christensen will offer a daily Circling session. And the house will be full of relational practice geeks, so anyone can share other sessions too. Suitable for absolute beginners. If you want to know more, reach out to us, or check out this interview with Marei and Rich.

The term “Circling®️” is a registered trademark. Mareike is certified to lead the European Circling Approach, and is licensed by the International Circling Federation to use the term, in accordance with their guidelines. Read more on internationalcirclingfederation.org

Feb 13 to 20: Movement Week with Kristijan

Kristijan Ivancic runs movement classes inspired by Fighting Monkey. They take the form of single- and multi-player games, tasks, and challenges that invite participation from the whole body and mind. For computer nerds like me, this is a phenomenal way to get out of my head and engage with my body and the present moment.

Instead of prescribed exercises, it's a playground to increase the adaptive intelligence of the body in response to challenges posed by the environment and other players. Our bodies are different when we're healthy, sick, young, old, tired, injured, pregnant, scared, excited, etc. So our practice needs to change as we change to support us. You'll notice very quickly if you're missing strength, stamina, spatial awareness, balance, if you're anxious or scared, and so on. Whatever manifests for you in practice is the thing you can explore and play with.

During Movement Week, you will have time to pursue your normal computer job. But there will also be ample opportunities to get off the screen and into the soft animal of your body. If you have movement sessions you want to offer, bring them too.

Mar 7 to 13: Solopreneurs Week with Jan

Solopreneur life is a blessing and a curse: lots of freedom to work on whatever is meaningful to you, but it can also be super isolating and precarious. Join this week if you want to connect with other free agents who are building their own thing.

Bring your actual work, bring the business problems you’re stuck on, bring your special superpower skills, and bring your own psychological baggage around asking for money!

We’re co-hosting this week with Jan Baeriswyl. He’s an advisor to business founders, with a CV that looks very respectable on LinkedIn . But he’s also a feral free agent that has spent a decade honing the craft of helping people get paid well to work on stuff that matters.

Together we’ll facilitate skill-shares on marketing, sales, money, and how to build a life-supporting career that you are stoked about.

Mar 14 to 20: AI for Personal Productivity with Rich

After 15 years of feeling underwater with too many tasks, messages, projects, always dropping the ball, always trapped under an infinitely growing todo list... I am now fundamentally and profoundly on top of my shit. I can manage 10 projects simultaneously and there is no mental load. The output quality is better and my head is empty.

It feels like I went through a personal singularity. And it’s all thanks to the super power of agentic AI. The robots that handle all the tedious digital work in my life: invoicing, project management, website edits, inbox triage, meeting notes, logistics, sales pages and client budget changes.

In this co-living week we’ll host skillshares and get you up to speed with these incredible superpowers. You will have time to do your regular online work, and we’ll have daily workshops to build up your personal productivity system so you too can be fundamentally and profoundly on top of your shit.
